NEWHALL COFFEE ROASTING COMPANY HOLDS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND PRESS CONFERENCE TO DONATE THEIR PATRIOT BLEND TO U.S. TROOPS |

Local school children from Bridgeport and Santa Clarita Elementary schools among others, will be in attendance, and have participated in an essay-writing contest to thank the soldiers. Their letters will be included in the coffee packages, and the top entrees will be displayed at the event, to be read aloud. The students will win gift cards donated by Sam's Club, and their teachers will receive a personalized gift basket donated by Newhall Coffee.According to Delia Contreras Sam's Club Manager, "We are proud to be part of such a great community that we can help by giving back in many different ways. It is always good when we can improve the lives of others and show that we care with great programs such as this one."
Political dignitaries such as City of Santa Clarita Mayor Bob Kellar, and City Councilwoman Marsha McLean, and representatives from Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon and Assemblyman Cameron Smyth's offices, and the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce will also be in attendance.
